On the sea in Santa Barbara, I drafted & cut the paper pattern for these new bottoms from my humble boat home. Up the mountain, my mom sewed the first sample. And, we nailed it:) I have to say, as a short, athletic build, I never believed a high-waisted bikini bottom could be flattering. The way they truncated my torso making me look shorter & wider, the bottom riding up my bum or hanging low like diaper - Not a fan. So I altered the curves to elongate the body & found a middle ground between a cheeky bum & moderate coverage. Voila. Flattering. Comfortable. Multi-Functional.

FITTING TIPS
1. It’s tough to tell the front from back. The scoop waistband side goes in the back & the straight waistband side goes in the front.
2. For all highwaist bikini bottoms: removing any excess fabric from gathering at your lower back. Pull the excess fabric from your lower back down & around the crotch to the front. Then pull the waistband higher towards your belly button. This will elongate your legs:)
